Dear Parents,
Welcome to a new year at Seguin Elementary. T.E.A. has designated our campus as "Recognized" for a second year with marked improvements in all subjects areas. Our target areas this year will be mathematics, science and attendance rate.
There are many ways you as parents can support your child's learning and school. The following are a few ideas to consider.
- Spend some minutes every evening looking over homework and handouts your child brings home. Fill out forms to return forms to return the next day.
- Tell your child's teachers if you can help them out at school or home.
- Make sure teachers know you appreciate their efforts by sending thank you notes or emails.
- Make sure to contact your child's teacher immediately when you see a problem. Working together will help your youngster succeed.
- Always attend conferences, parent meetings and school events regularly.
